More About Parisa

Outside of the therapy room, I can be found writing, obsessing over a good graphic novel, and trying to replicate my grandmother's drool-worthy Persian recipes. I love exploring nature with my yellow lab. I'm also actively engaged in queer and disability culture, and provide university lectures and community trainings on disability advocacy issues.

In therapy I am accompanied by Idgie, a trained service dog who performs tasks to assist with my disability. Although she’s not allowed to be pet while working, clients often comment that Idgie’s calm presence and goofy grins bring them comfort during therapy sessions.
